Meet Jianni.

Jianni is pursuing her dream of becoming a trailblazer in the sports industry as a black woman. She is set to graduate from the University of Maryland this upcoming May, when she receives her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism, with a General Business minor.

Jianni’s passion for sports started at a young age, taking her first steps at an out of town AAU basketball tournament with her dad and grandmother's team. Ever since then, the story has written itself. She’s been an athlete for all of her life; playing basketball since the age of 3 and picking up other sports like soccer, softball, and track & field over the years. As her athletic journey ended and she tied up her shoes, her passion for sports did not end there. Upon beginning her freshman year in college, she took up sports in another way, communications and broadcasting.

In her spare time, she enjoys twitter memes and comical videos that can often be related to her real life situations. Her favorite twitter moments include: the Lil Mama memes, the Arthur memes, and the infamous Kermit the Frog vs Hooded Kermit the Frog memes.

After graduating with her undergraduate degree from one of the top journalism schools in the country, Jianni will have gained many skills that would qualify her with multimedia expertise as a young communications professional. Thus, in her near future, she hopes work in a sports communication or marketing related field; she has no limits!
